The Repair Café in Pembroke Dock will take place on April 25 this month, one week later than usual.
Repair Cafés are one of the best ways to reuse, recycle, and save unnecessary landfill.
Pembroke Dock Men’s Shed hosts one for the town every third Friday of the month. But because this month it would fall on Good Friday, the event has been moved on a week to the 25th.
Bring along your broken or damaged item and volunteer repairers will try to fix it, for free. You can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and chat to your fellow neighbours while you wait. They’ll even show you how it is done too if you like!
Typical repairs include; basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair, and woodworking; though they will have a look at most things, except microwaves as they are too dangerous.
More fixers are always welcome – come along even if it is just to find out what is going on, and tell your friends! See you there!
The repair café at Pembroke Dock takes place at the Men’s Shed, VC Gallery, Britannia Road between 10am and 12 noon.
