Carmarthenshire County Council has written to all properties that receive waste collections on a Monday, to notify them of a change in collection day on the August Bank Holiday 2024.
Letters have been issued to all affected properties to inform them of their alternative collection day. The County Council’s website and collection checker have been amended and its email and text reminder service will also notify affected residents of the change in their collection day.
The best way of keeping up to date with waste collection dates and information on any changes to your collections is to sign up to the County Council’s email or text reminder service.
Visit www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/recycling to sign up.
Alternatively, you can always check your waste collection day on our website.
Cabinet Member for Transport, Waste and Infrastructure Services - Cllr Edward Thomas said:
“If your waste is usually collected on a Monday, there are changes to your collection this August Bank Holiday and you will receive a letter with your collection arrangements.
“A free and simple way of receiving weekly reminders of your waste collection date and any changes to your collection is to sign up to the Council’s email or text reminders.
“Thank you to all residents for supporting our efforts to recycle more. Please keep recycling as much as possible and remember the three black bag limit.”
All Carmarthenshire recycling centres will be open as normal on Bank Holiday Monday.
Please check the opening times before you go.
