Manorbier and District Gardening Club is looking forward to its next meeting on Wednesday, March 19 at the Giraldus Centre, when Judy Rumbelow from Cold Comfort Plants in Wolfscastle will be giving a talk on propagating hardy perennials.
Judy is also bringing some plants from the nursery to sell. The meeting will start at 7.30pm and there will be a raffle, seed swap and garden magazine table, along with a ‘Jobs for the Month’ board. Refreshments will be available after the talk.
The club’s February meeting included guest speakers Sian and Ollie, who told everyone about the progress of the Community Garden at the Giraldus Centre, while Toni and Mike provided an update on the Manorbier Open Garden Scheme held in aid of St James Church, which will be held over the weekend of June 14 and 15, 2025.
Everyone is welcome to come along and meet this friendly group of garden and wildlife enthusiasts, with its interesting programme of various speakers, trips and events planned for the year. Annual membership is £15, while visitors are asked to pay a small admission fee of £3. Further information is available from Maggie at [email protected] or 07736 749705.
