AFTER nearly six years as Chairman of Pembroke Dock Heritage Trust, Graham Clarkson has handed over the role.

His successor is former RAF officer Rik Saldanha MBE, who spent 37 years in the Service before retirement.

At the Trust’s recent annual meeting, Rik paid tribute to Graham’s contributions and wholehearted commitment to the Trust and Heritage Centre during a challenging period which included the Covid pandemic. Graham continues as a Trustee and Volunteer.

Both Rik and his wife, Gill, are key members of the volunteer team which runs the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre. Rik is Maintenance Trustee and Gill is Archive Curator.

New Vice Chairman is Dr Andy Watkin.

A welcome new recruit to the Trustees team is solicitor Angharad Scourfield whose late father, well-known Pembroke Dock architect Gareth Scourfield, championed the history of his home town and was a trustee involved in Pembroke Dock heritage initiatives over many years. “I look forward to helping the trust for many years to come,” she said.
