WITH four-and-a-half tables in play on February 17, the top three places were closely fought.

Winners were Geoff & Paul V with 58.73%. Second were Brenda & Alan with 57.14% and third were Jill & John with 54.76%.

Only two slams were bid and made – by Julie & Julian and by Paul B & Stuart on Board 2, although there were three further boards with slam potential.
