TENBY Mayor Dai Morgan and Tenby & District Lions president Roly Fury attended the Old Chapel to present Ian Rees a donation of £300. The money was raised from proceeds of last year’s Christmas market.
Mr Fury said: “The market is for one day of the year but part of a magical day for Tenby. It’s a long and hard day but the benefits are so rewarding.”
The Christmas market is organised by the Lions and supported by the Town Council as part of the big Christmas lights switch on.
Councillor Morgan added: “Last year was a fantastic day and supported by the community in massive numbers. Thank you to all who contributed on the day, this is the first donation from the monies raised and a big thank you to the Lions for agreeing to support one of my charities of the year, The Old Chapel is a special place for many in the town.”
