A MAN from Pembroke Dock has been handed a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to assault and harassment.
Joseph Lewis, of Gloucester Way, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on January 21.
The 33-year-old had pleaded guilty to having assaulted a female by beating at Pembroke Dock on March 9, 2024, and pursuing a course of conduct over between March 10 and April 4 that amounted to harassment.
Because it was an unprovoked attack and not the first time Lewis had assaulted the same person, he was sentenced to 16 weeks’ imprisonment - suspended for 24 months, however, owing to a ‘realistic prospect of rehabilitation’. He was also ordered to pay £200 compensation and made subject to a restraining order until 2030.
