Calling all budding artists, scientists, and aspiring chefs! The Haverfordwest Children's Festival bursts back onto the scene from July 29 to August 4.

Born from the vision of local parents and teachers, the festival aims to provide enriching experiences for children during the school break. It offers a jam-packed program of exciting activities designed to keep young minds engaged and entertained during the summer holidays.

This year's festival offers a variety of creative workshops, from dance and printmaking to songwriting (now open to 10+) and learning how to write a book. Partnering with Pembrokeshire College, the festival offers unique opportunities for children to master the art of pasta making with professional chefs and even code their own alarm systems with the college's electronics department.

Aspiring young detectives can join the Big Science Project team at Albany, Hill Street on August 3 for a full-day forensic science workshop, where they'll delve into the fascinating world of crime-solving.

For a touch of theatrics, SeaLegs Puppet Theatre brings their magic to HaverHub with two delightful shows. Little Bo Peep will enchant younger audiences on August 1, while The Musicians of Bremen takes centre stage on August 2 for children up to 11 years old.

The festival culminates in a grand garden party at Haverfordwest's Community Garden, HaverGardd. Join the festivities on August 4 for an afternoon of live music with the popular children's band The Giggles, alongside nature art activities, games and hands-on gardening fun.

Limited spaces remain! For detailed information and a complete list of events, including songwriting, book writing, digital making (11-16 years), pasta making (now 8-16 years), puppet shows, and the science project, visit the festival website: www.childrensfestival.wales
