Legendary Pembrokeshire bash the Aquarian Party is set to shake off those mid-Winter blues once more.
This annual post-Christmas antidote will be held at The Queens Hall Narberth on January 19, 2024 from 9pm.
Presented by The Queens Hall Narberth, DJ Shanna as always promising an explosive line-up with some of West Wales’ most exciting DJs. A delicious mash-up of genres, you can look forward to Reggae, Soul, Blues, Afro Beat, Jungle, Dance Hall, Garage and much more inbetween. Uncle Funk will open the show, and with 50 years of experience and a deep love for vinyl, you can expect an expert blend of Latin, Funk, Jazz, Soul, Blues and so much more.
Up next will be DJ Shanna herself. This Goddess of Groove founded the Aquarian Party 25 years ago. Bringing new bands to Narberth from the festival circuits from Gentleman’s Dub Club, Momo, Baby Head, Dr Meaker, Phibes, Dub Pistols, Dub Mafia to name a few. DJ Shanna says:
“The first Aquarian Party went down so well with Joi from the Eastend of London that we did another party the next year! I never imagined it would become so popular, and we just carried on finding the best new acts on the festival circuit!”
DJ Shanna has had a passion for collecting music since her teens; you can expect classic oldies, Disco, Rave, Jungle with some Asian flavours mixed in.
Headlining the show is Timbali, who exploded onto the scene in 2015. A Pembrokeshire DJ/Producer with tight productions and eclectic style, he has become a successful figure in the Reggae and Dance Hall scene, a festival favourite with many BBC Radio plays under his belt, reaching no. 1 on Beatport “Killing Sound” with Scarra Mucci.
Lastly, a veteran on the West Wales scene with hundreds of gigs under his belt! Local hero DJ Rob Why? returns to the Hall as a long-standing member of Back to Bassix, so expect full range of D&B, Jungle and some cheeky Garage to end the night.
The Aquarian Party will be held at The Queens Hall, Narberth, on Friday 19th January 2024. The usual UV décor to add to the festival club vibe from Shanna for a great night.
It is an 18+ event and tickets are £9 plus booking fee if bought in advance but will cost more on the door on the day.
